Cycle Superhighways are coming - underneath parked cars

The official launch of the first two Cycle Superhighways is on Monday, so it's nice to see CS7 taking its final shape.

This stretch of the Safe, Direct and Continuous new magic carpet for cyclists is on Southwark Bridge Road.

As the mayor Boris Johnson said when the Superficial Cycleways were first announced, "these are routes where the bicycle will dominate"!

  1. Oooooohhhhh, that just makes me sooooo angry :0(
It happens here all the time - lorries & buses daily park up for breakfast/lunch/snooze/chat etc. on our cycle lanes - you know who you are, you BAD people!!!

  2. SMB: These people are not being bad. Not in the eyes of the law. London's "superhighways" actually have car parking spaces designed into them.

  3. I don't know why you're complaining!
We now have the most technologically advanced cycle routes in the world -
I certainly didn't see any routes in copenhagen that came fitted with steps AND car-parking facilities...
Maybe cattle-grids too if we're lucky?
